Urban Fashion Deals of the Day: Summer Sale at DrJays.com

10 07 2008

Alright, listen up guys and gals. This week there is a fat summer sale at DrJays.com where thousands of products for men, women, and children are up to 70% off. Now here at MizJerisa.com, we know that it is hard to spend big bucks to stay fresh and clean nowadays. So we promote bargain shopping and simply gettin them when you can. Doesn’t mean you have to shop at the Goodwill ok. So no, you cannot get a shirt from ZooYork or LRG for no two bucks, but it’s simply cheaper than how much they would usually cost. And remember, don’t buy it unless you love it. So there you go. Anyway, here are some good deals I came across while browsing the first ten of a gazillion pages of sales. The basics seem to be the best deal to me. You can layer them and mix and match ‘em with different outfits. (All photos from Dr.Jays.com).

I have been waiting sooo long to write about this. Why did I wait? I have no idea. But this is my ultimate pet peeve about the way young folks dress nowadays. Mostly young men and young boys. And if this pertains to you, please take no offense…it’s for your own good. Now…why….oh why….would you wear something that makes you look like you are wearing a dress?!!! I am talking about those horrible horrible “tall tees.” There is a reason why they call it that. It’s for tall people. With long torsos maybe. Here’s a great example. (Sorry for the dude in it, I had to borrow it to set this example).

Omg, so now look wear the end of the shirt actually reaches for the dude on the right. That is actually right pass the knees. This person is already tall enough to fit a regular tall tee, but this dude had to take it 4x larger. They have up to 4XL available! Can you believe that?! It looks like a mumu. A duster. The long sleeves makes you look like a t-rex. It’s loose and does not flatter at all. Maybe it needs to be that low to cover the bare butt caused by the super low sagging pants. I don’t know. I swear, I really don’t get it. I went to the mall today and there were a group of six grown men walking around with dark shades (did I mention we were in the mall) dressed like this. I don’t know who they’re tryin to impress but they sure got the people’s attention. I saw raised eyebrows and even heard snickers. I’m sure that wasn’t the impression they were trying to make. Going to the movies I saw a young man wearing his pants so low he had to walk all wierd…you know that side ways, bend at the knees walk. Ridiculous. Now here is something a little more flattering, very appropriate, still real hot, and will turn heads the right way! So notice how it’s right at the hip. It’s okay if it’s a lil’ longer, but please, if it is pass where your hands lay down your side, it’s too long! This one is from Hippo Esthetics by the way.
